The newest update can be obtained from the manufacturer's website. Step 2: Set BIOS to optimal default Overclocking is the main reason for the system to become unstable in Gen 4 setting. Reset BIOS to optimal default may resolve the issue and allow the system to run under Gen 4 without issue. Step 3: Try to boot without the riser cable Make sure the system can boot properly without the riser cable. Step 4: Clean the connector contacts on the riser cable and GPU Cleaning the connector contact (Gold Fingers) on both GPU and riser cable with rubbing alcohol to remove possible particle build-up. Step 5: Ensure the cable is fully and securely inserted into the socket Please make sure the male connector (Gold Fingers) is fully inserted into the motherboard’s PCIe socket. Our riser has a very short pin designed to provide better insertion loss. The pins may not be in full contact with the PCIe socket pins resulting in signal lanes drop from x16 to x8, or worse at x4 speed. Make sure you choose the right length cables. Too long or too short may both result in performance loss. Step 6: Try a different PCI-e slot (Always choose the PCIe slot closest to the CPU) If the motherboard has multiple Gen 4 PCIe slots, try to install the cable on a different slot. Step 7: I have done all of the above and I’m still having trouble with the riser cable PCI-E specifications do not regulate the use of a riser cable. As a result, Gen 4 motherboards are designed to connect the GPU directly. Hence leave a limited headroom for the use of a riser cable, and the use of a riser cable may fail when the insertion loss is over the limits due to poor components used in motherboards. Not all motherboards and GPUs are manufactured to the same quality, some have higher headroom than the other. In these rare cases, the easiest ways to resolve the problem are: Exchange another riser cable to try. (If shorter length works, always choose a shorter length) Exchange another motherboard of the same brand. Exchange motherboard for a different brand. (99% of the customers have completely resolved the issue at this point) If none of these works, please get in touch with us directly and provide us with your system information (model/make of MB, CPU, GPU, PC case). We are happy to provide a solution. *Please do not allow cable to directly touch the backplate of GPU which may generate temperatures higher than the riser cables' maximum operating temperature of 75 degrees celsius. If direct contact is unavoidable, applying thermal tape is strongly recommended Premium Straight Riser Cable LINKUP Ultra PCIE 4.0 Verified Extreme Right Angle 3.0 Riser Cables SLI Bridge LINKUP Custom MOD PSU Extension Cables PCIE 4.0 Verified x PCIE 4.0 Verified x x PSU Cable Extension Cable Angle Straight Straight, Right, Left or Reverse Angles Right Angle 90 Degrees x x Maximum Cable Length Up to 200cm Up to 50cm Up to 400cm in PCIe 3.0 Configuration Up to 60cm 30cm and 50cm

It's expensive for a gen 4 cable, but it is a niche product and length. The length works for both the Xproto and Akalla A5 cases. It's a little stiff, and the red isn't appealing for other colored builds, but it works as it should. My stock H1 riser cable didn't work with my motherboard and my GPU, so this was a must. Installation was straightforward. It was a snug fit, but the hardest part was getting over my heebie jeebies to bend the riser cable into position. The instructions stated not to screw the PCB in, so I didn't. My 3070 didn't wiggle at all once it was connected and screwed down to the chassis. Performance is stellar and I haven't had any issues with my build since!SPECS:GIGABYTE B660I AORUS PRO DDR4Nvidia 3070 Founders EditionUndervolted i7 12700k32GB of Corsair Vengeance 3600 MHzStock NZXT AIOStock 650w PSUExactly what i was looking for, again this works for the h1 v1Looking to replace the included riser in my Evolve Shift 2 air, this seemed to be the closest fit given the measurements. After a Bios update reverted my settings to default, i decided to install this and worked like a charm. The cable comes packaged nicely with a plastic cover to protect the gold pins in which the gpu plugs into. After install, it may be used for other risers or a gpu you wish to store. Instructions included are very basic. Needless to say that with a basic understanding of the BIOS, one should not have issuesThe only con i see is the price. At about half the cost of the chassis, itd strongly recommend buying a case that comes with a riser that os of gen 4 variant.I first started out trying to find a correct PCIe Gen 4 cable to fit my Jonsbo VR3 since when I bought the case it only came with a Gen 3 cable. I reached out the LINKUP customer support to see which cable would work for my case. They informed me that this cable would work in my case, however upon receiving the cable it would not work at all in the case do to the tight tolerances in the case. I can't fully blame the customer support for not knowing if it would fit in the case because I doubt they test the plethora of cables they make in every case on the market but just a sure it will fit is not the way to go. However it is a really well made cable and didn't cause any issues when I tested it outside the case. So make sure you really measure before you buy one of these cables for your application.A bit expensive but needed 4.0 riser to upgrade gen 3.0. nice bonus was white to match my PC's themeThis is long enough to reach, and curved in the right ways to fit in the H1, but it's not an easy fit. I left the GPU end unscrewed since it was such a pain to line up and attach - and you can feel like you're really over-stretching it at times too. Would much rather they include more slack or the tension relief bits that the stock riser has. But it does seem stable at Gen 4 speeds, which is the main reason I got it, so I guess points for that.I’m going to give this five stars. This was a perfect replacement for the riser cable that failed in my Phanteks Evolv Shift X. The only downside is that I wish that there was some sort of standard when it came to height of the actual mounting system. Without being shimmed my RTX 3080ti FTW3 would not seat completely as it is mounted in a cage that slides left and right with the IO shield pointing upward. Phaneks did not have an adequate replacement for what was a common issue with the failed risers in the early models, mine failing after warranty expired. The plus side is that this riser brand is being used in many custom small form factor cases and is trusted by them. The build quality is excellent and after finding some washers to raise the mounting height everything worked fine. Linkup should address this in a revision. Perhaps some sort of set of spacers to alter the height by a few millimeters along with longer mounting screws.Overall though despite the little issues I’d definitely recommend these for your riser solution.Bought in September last year and has been in my case since then.Started intermittently getting random screen blanking and GPU resets happening when running in PCI-E 4.0 mode on my motherboard. After some time would no longer even display an image when in full speed, dropping it to PCIE 3.0 was the only way to get the behaviour to stop. Now it will only run in x8 mode - and has never been touched since installation!Disgusting amount of money for what is too - especially when it lasted such a short timeThe specific riser cable i got is the NZXT H1 [23cm].If you are getting this specific riser cable to replace the 32cm cable from NZXT, then understand that the 23cm length will not work if you route it the same way that NZXT's riser cable is routed. Two of the attached pictures show the incorrect way of mounting the riser cable. In this, I attempted to route the riser behind the GPU then curve the riser cable 270 degrees so that the female end that connects to the GPU meets the PCI-e slot. This results in the riser cable length being too short, where it needs an additional 2-3cm of length to fully socket the GPU and secure it to the chassis. The third picture is the correct way to route the riser cable for the NZXT H1. The riser cable needs to be routed in front of the GPU so that the female end of the riser cable connects to the GPU's PCI-e slot. This route is likely going to block one of of the GPU fans, which restricts air flow and is likely to make your GPU hotter if you are using it for gaming. The GPU I'm using is a Radeon 6700 XT. The venting of heat is at the top of the GPU, facing left in the pictures. The concern I have is that the cooling of the GPU will heat up the riser cable and may cause problems in the future. But this will work for the 23cm length. The 23cm riser cable does technically work, but the only way that the length is compatible, routing in front of the GPU, may cause issues due to restricting air from a fan, and being in the way of heat exhaust from the top of the GPU.Ordered 19 cm for an 18 cm replacement but when measured it was actually 17cm for pcie to connector not good. Really disappointed in this purchase as I had heard good things about this cable performance. I think I may be a factory measurement issue. Check your size and order way over.Worked straight away with nvidia rtx 3060ti and asus croshair viii impactI am getting x16 PCIE 4.0 speeds (per GPU-Z) using this riser cable. I don't know why it's so expensive though.
