We received a complete replacement of the item. This one had no defective parts, no damage to the veneer and it assembled easily. The instruction manual has not been improved. This is a very good desk option for a tight space. Not only is it only about 35 inches wide, but it's also almost 24 inches front to back providing enough space for a monitor, keyboard, schoolbooks, notebooks. Most small desktops are more like a shelf with no room for a monitor. It was a good find, and our teenager is very happy with it.Previous Issues with the desk (all corrected except for the unhelpful manual):1. Defective part: Miniflix Mil--one of these parts would not mount correctly in the predrilled hole on desktop, and thus would not tighten. So we only have desktop secured in 3 places.2. Damaged veneer--one corner is damaged, loose, and peeling off. See photo.3. No installation instructions--diagrams are very confusing.
